Hardwork or Talent?

What counts more-- hard work or talent?
In the spirit world, God made us different. He gave us different abilities, talents, and character for us to do our own role that can distinguish us from one another. These God-given features in our premortal life were being washed out when we entered the veil of forgetfulness. So, we came here in our mortal life naked and innocent. But God designs this code of life which scientists called DNA or deoxyribonucleic acid, this is a molecule carrying genetic instructions for the development, functioning, growth, and reproduction of all known organisms. DNA is a God’s molecule that connects us from our premortal life, we cannot remember who we are before, but it is already in our DNA who we can become here on earth.

None of us is left behind, all of us have given equal opportunity and capabilities for us to live here on earth. God designed us different from each other and the evidence is our DNA, this is for us to function well filling each other’s imperfection. Behind this reality, God also gave us freedom, freedom to choose what we do in life, and how we use our strength and talents to function here on earth. Since we have this agency, it is up to us now on how we can work on developing our talents and other skills.

There’s this very popular musician that suffers autism, he struggles a lot in speaking and cannot control some of his body movements, but he sings and plays the piano very well. A lot of people were amazed and inspired because of his talent. This musician suffers a lot from the judgment of people, that because of his case they cannot see his capabilities. But through his hard work and perseverance, he was able to develop his talent in singing. There are a lot of people who are given a wonderful singing voice, but they fail in the singing industry because they lack hard work and dedication to what they are doing.

Talents are already given, so, it is now our responsibility to nurture it. Nurturing our talents are really hard, we cannot develop it in just one sitting. It takes time, take a look for JK Rowling's success, she has a talent in writing but his work Harry Potter was rejected many times, but she never gives up on developing her talent in writing, she did revisions many times in her works and finally her work published and became one of the most popular stories in the world.

It is not just the talent that counts, what counts more is your hard work. If you are hardworking, people can distinguish your talent. So, never give up! And work hard to develop your God-given talents.

HEAVENLY FATHER

Sometimes we wonder if God really exists, we always question His existence in times of our trials that we always say, ‘if there is God why I am suffering all of this agony in my life’. Brothers and sisters, I testify that there is God. Look around you, you can see many beautiful things, in the land, in the water, and in the sky. What a beautiful creation, right? And everything of these is perfectly designed by God. Think about the galaxy, the constellation of stars, and how perfectly our planet earth designed. All we have is theory on how these planets were created, and no one can prove that the universe's existence has naturally occurred. Like the great things we made here on earth, we designed something, we create something because we have this God-given knowledge to put something into existence. Our activities here on earth are enough to prove that there is only one God, who designed, planned and put all the living and all great things into existence. Our Heavenl...

Super Teacher

Everyone can teach, everyone is being called to teach but then just a few of us are chosen. What are your qualities then or mark as a teacher or formally future teacher for you to say that you are the chosen one for the job? What can you contribute to the teaching industry to help the students pursue their study? Or what can you sow in this industry so that people has something to reap? To be a teacher is somewhat indurated because this is next to parenthood which is very crucial responsibility wherein you are going to raise not just one but many. As a student in almost thirteen years, I observed that there is a two kind of a teacher; the teacher who loves their designated subjects to teach and a teacher who loves her/his students. Let’s talk about the two, the first mentioned loves a perfect class a perfect student, he/she likes that everyone of the class must understand the topics given by him/her and if they don’t they are being scolded physically, being embarrassed a...

Be a Friend, Not a Bully

There are stages in life to undergo, and the most challenging stage is knowing and accepting ourselves. I've been at that stage where I am surrounded with my personal insecurities, such as my skin color how I wish to be whiter, my height I want to be taller, and I hate my voice the way I speak, it struggles me a lot, people always bully me of the way I speak because I really have that bad sound, they even belittle me of the things that I do and they ignore me and most of them are my relatives, it hurts me a lot they don't know that I am struggling. My confidence was affected a lot, including family problems it really affected me in meeting other people, also my studies. There are times that  I felt like I had no one to share my problems, my feelings, I am so scared to talk, to open up. I am thankful that I had friends during my college who have been there for me, they inspired me, motivated me and shared their time. Because of them, I felt a sense of belongingness, a...
