Super Teacher

Everyone can teach, everyone is being called to teach but then just a few of us are chosen. What are your qualities then or mark as a teacher or formally future teacher for you to say that you are the chosen one for the job? What can you contribute to the teaching industry to help the students pursue their study? Or what can you sow in this industry so that people has something to reap?

To be a teacher is somewhat indurated because this is next to parenthood which is very crucial responsibility wherein you are going to raise not just one but many.

As a student in almost thirteen years, I observed that there is a two kind of a teacher; the teacher who loves their designated subjects to teach and a teacher who loves her/his students. Let’s talk about the two, the first mentioned loves a perfect class a perfect student, he/she likes that everyone of the class must understand the topics given by him/her and if they don’t they are being scolded physically, being embarrassed and being judge without understanding “what matters, what happened to their students?” and sometimes they even spit words that are not up to scratch, ironically I called them “perfect teacher “.  That is one of the major obstructions why statically the number of students here in the Philippines when they graduate in high school it’s just 3 out of 10 or 4 out of 10 who will enter to college and just two who can pursue their degree course.

It was discovered that violence – whether physical, verbal, or sexual – usually results in low self-esteem, fear, anger, and helplessness among students. It is the right of the students to be treated decorously, as stated in republic act of the Philippines; corporal punishment is prohibited, following the issuance in 1974 of the Child and Youth Welfare Code (Presidential Decree No. 63, Article 59). It prohibits any mental and physical violence against children. Child abuse is punishable by Philippine law – the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act (RA 7610) of 1992 ensures the safety and welfare of the Filipino youth. The 1987 Constitution also says that “The State recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation-building and shall promote and protect their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being” (Philippines Constitutional Law).

Sadly to say despite the abundance of laws, child abuse still occurring in every school in our country. Some of these cases, if not most, also go unreported. The laws must powerfully be implemented not be ignored in every school nationwide. If not so, what will happen in “building the future?” the school is the agency that they build a better future- a better community, a better life. That is why every school must be accountable or liable in educating their students.

Too much about that, now let’s talk about the second type of a teacher; he/she loves everyone, like a parents his/her attention is equally disseminated to his/her sons and daughters. He/she is willing to serve everyone and if possible he/she must solve problems occurring in the class. He/she doesn’t care what kind of a student s/he’ll be dealing, very patient; it’s just like an open door, inviting everyone to come in to help them to be better, to change in something unique that the world needs. Maybe you are thinking that only super-humans can do that if you does then we’re quite similar ‘because I call them “super teachers”.

There are many articles that I have read and stories that I have watched and heard from others about an inspiring teacher or a good teacher but just one really pricked my heart. He started teaching when he was just twelve and ended when he was maybe 33-35 years of age, he taught a lot of people with different races not just about temporal things but also spiritual. Through his teachings he touched the heart of many people to change and to follow him, he was so compassionate and he teaches with heaven’s gift of wisdom, really a super teacher, right? It’s not a mind boggling it’s obvious that I am talking about Jesus Christ. The patience of Christ is seen in His relationships with people and in his perseverance through trial and suffering to death (book of Matthew).

You must be thinking that He is a God that is why he have done unusual things during his time but no as I mentioned in my article “A True Leader” Jesus Christ became mortal here on earth, he was just like us. His works were just a product of patience, love, time and understanding not of being the son of God.

When we talk about being a teacher this is not about loving teaching profession or the teaching industry, this is about loving the people whom you will teach. Like Jesus Christ portrays, if you want to be one of the chosen builders of the future or I can say it a chosen teacher just be like Jesus Christ in your mind, heart, and soul. It is not easy but we can, just have patience and that patience must be grounded in wisdom and compassion. If we do that impossibility in life will become possible.

just leave your comment below and let us talk about it.

Ghajini: Reflection

We really cannot predict what will happen in our lives the next day. If you are at the upper part of the wheel you cannot say that you'll stagnantly stay there because wheels turn and that' s the best description of life. Always put in your mind that there are always two sides of a coin it emphasizes that all things under the sun have always an opposition, It's between the bad and the good. But after all, God gave us the freedom to choose and gave us the intelligence to decide what are the right things to do. And that is the movie " Ghajini " all about. You will learn to the story that there are decisions that we know it's the right thing to do but as we move on we'll realize that we've thrown a gas into something that is burning. On the other side, you can appreciate how the decision will come out naturally in our minds to do good things. The character of Aamhir Khan " Sanjay "tickled my heart. He was a kind of a man who bo...

HEAVENLY FATHER

Sometimes we wonder if God really exists, we always question His existence in times of our trials that we always say, ‘if there is God why I am suffering all of this agony in my life’. Brothers and sisters, I testify that there is God. Look around you, you can see many beautiful things, in the land, in the water, and in the sky. What a beautiful creation, right? And everything of these is perfectly designed by God. Think about the galaxy, the constellation of stars, and how perfectly our planet earth designed. All we have is theory on how these planets were created, and no one can prove that the universe's existence has naturally occurred. Like the great things we made here on earth, we designed something, we create something because we have this God-given knowledge to put something into existence. Our activities here on earth are enough to prove that there is only one God, who designed, planned and put all the living and all great things into existence. Our Heavenl...

See the Good

I believe in prophets and leaders and revelations they received, but sometimes I doubted them not only the leaders of higher ranking but also local leaders of the church. This doubt has led me not to trust some leaders of the church and at some point, it had affected me in doing my responsibilities as a member such as paying my tithes, fulfilling my callings, and my personal progress. It’s disappointing when you see leaders who are misled by their personal desire. Sometimes I even doubted if our church is a true church of Jesus Christ because of them.   I talk to one of my classmates in the institute about it and she said sometimes it is easier to see mistakes than good works. I sometimes tell people what she said, and I never told it to myself, hearing from a friend those words have galled me in a positive way, it is so strong. It came in my mind that we are not perfect, even the prophet is still only a human and it is ...
