Baptism

I know this topic is very familiar to you but I hope I can impart something that will touch your heart…
Adam, the first man on earth was baptized, also Alma in the book of Mormon and Jesus needed to be baptized even He never sinned. Why? It is because baptism serves as a key to live with heavenly father in the Celestial Kingdom.

Almost all of us here undergone on the process of Baptism, during this moment of our lives we made a promised to heavenly father that we will remember and follow Jesus and keep all of his commandments. Our heavenly father loves us so much that whenever we make a promise to him, He makes a promise right back to us that He will forgive us for all our mistakes as long as we will get on our knees and repent. He also promises that we can have the gift of the Holy Ghost and that we can obtain eternal life someday. In short, this promises between us and heavenly father is called COVENANT.

Today brother, you are being covenanted to God, you’re willing with all your heart that you’ll take upon you the name of Christ, to stand as a witness of God at all times, in all things, and in all places even until death, you’re going to serve him and you’re going to bear one’s another burden that they may be lightened. You know, it is so hard to be latter day saints, lalong-lalo na kung ikaw ay convert- iba ang iyong kinagawian, ang iyong kinasanayan and it is so hard to live the Gospel but I tell you brother and to all of us here; as long as we humbled ourselves and ask God for our faith, I’m sure good things will come out naturally in our lives.

Our Earthly life is full of stories to tell; sometimes there are situations that we cannot comprehend that lead us to question ourselves, why this is happening to me, to my family? Is there somebody out there who cares for me? Is there God who cares what happens to me right now? Brothers and sisters, I tell you; our existence here on earth is a test, the agency has been given to us so it is us who chose our path.  Instead of questioning the existence of God we must strive to live the Gospel. Living the Gospel, living the commandments, living like Jesus is a tough job for us but surely as we do this; as we keep our covenant we will be more blessed as heavenly father promised to us.
I know these things are true, I believe that this church is true. I leave this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

This was my talk during the baptism of my best friend, I am very happy that finally my best friend was baptized in the Church with his whole family.

Be a Friend, Not a Bully

There are stages in life to undergo, and the most challenging stage is knowing and accepting ourselves. I've been at that stage where I am surrounded with my personal insecurities, such as my skin color how I wish to be whiter, my height I want to be taller, and I hate my voice the way I speak, it struggles me a lot, people always bully me of the way I speak because I really have that bad sound, they even belittle me of the things that I do and they ignore me and most of them are my relatives, it hurts me a lot they don't know that I am struggling. My confidence was affected a lot, including family problems it really affected me in meeting other people, also my studies. There are times that  I felt like I had no one to share my problems, my feelings, I am so scared to talk, to open up. I am thankful that I had friends during my college who have been there for me, they inspired me, motivated me and shared their time. Because of them, I felt a sense of belongingness, a...

Repentance through Christ : Isaiah 53

I have experienced spiritual anguish, this is because of procrastinating the will of the Lord through mundane activities. By reading the talk of President Ezra Taft Benson this line really pricked my heart “Give me a young man who has kept himself morally clean and has faithfully attended his Church meetings.” Regret and guilt are inside me, if only I focused on the things that would benefit my soul and that would make my Father in Heaven happy, If only I pay attention to the whisperings of the Holy Spirit, if only I tried my very best to keep the commandments that the church has taught me maybe now I am already halfway of my mission. I can still remember how our branch president gave me probationary, I felt like I am just a shadow at the corner I cannot participate in the sacrament. I cannot change his decision, I need to face the consequences of my actions, I need to undergo the process of repentance, this way I will have a c...

BULLYING

What would you feel if the world sees you in a distinct way? Some of you may take it positively but how if they see you whom a person does not deserve to accompany and to be treated respectfully, what would you do? Bullying and Discrimination are now a vast and uncontrollable crime in our world's new era. History to present these are happening, wherein, in our history women are being discriminated by men through treating them just women of their lives, for pleasures and power. And also people with special disabilities are not just being bullied or discriminated but they are being condemned to die. In this new era, the lawmaking bodies proclaimed a law stating the right of every individual to avoid discrimination and bullying against one another but then the implementation of these laws is not that strong. From now, people are freely discriminating and bullying someone through their gender (especially the LGBTQ+ community), physical disabilities, and status in life, religi...
