What would you feel if the world sees you in a distinct way? Some of you may take it positively but how if they see you whom a person does not deserve to accompany and to be treated respectfully, what would you do?
Bullying and Discrimination are now a vast and uncontrollable crime in our world's new era. History to present these are happening, wherein, in our history women are being discriminated by men through treating them just women of their lives, for pleasures and power. And also people with special disabilities are not just being bullied or discriminated but they are being condemned to die. In this new era, the lawmaking bodies proclaimed a law stating the right of every individual to avoid discrimination and bullying against one another but then the implementation of these laws is not that strong. From now, people are freely discriminating and bullying someone through their gender (especially the LGBTQ+ community), physical disabilities, and status in life, religion, ethnicity, and physical appearance.
All of us experienced being bullied and discriminated so we know the feeling of it wherein sometimes we may think that we are not worthy to live in this world. But how if I will ask you; “Have you bullied or discriminate against someone?” What would be your answer? If you are going to say no, that’s good of you and if you’re going to say yes, that’s a very good realization of your wrong deeds and hope you may learn from it. You know the feeling of being bullied or discriminated is worse but you know what worst is? It’s the feeling of the one who bullied or discriminate; it makes them happy but then sooner or later they will realize that the feeling is happiness in disguise.
Bullying and discrimination are factors that can affect everyone's self-esteem especially for the students who are beginning building their self-confidence. One time I talked to my old school friend, I asked him what is his job then he answered me I am still looking then I suggest to him to apply to any hotels or any malls then he cried it’s so hard to look for a job if you don’t have the look. I felt so bad and I was shut for a moment because I don’t know what to say but then suddenly I laugh a little bit telling him to come on you look good you should try to apply I know you are a smart person and talented. I think this is the most vital discrimination in someone’s life; they are being rejected because of their physical appearance. Sometimes we can’t show and nourish our abilities because sometimes our eyes are being closed and so on with our minds toward others.
Me, myself when I was a High school I experienced being bullied by my classmate they are telling me that I’m SpongeBob because my face is a little bit square and my adviser calling me also Mr. Bean because maybe sometimes I act so funny and awkward. I know this is just fun for them but then it really affects my feelings, sometimes I am thinking that I look very bad which leads me to isolate myself from them. As I grow old I am learning to cope and to deal with the bully people in our school, and I began to build my confidence through self-motivation. If we feel alone on this isolated planet of the Milky Way galaxy, we must learn to motivate ourselves to deal with different matters; we should have inner motivation within us. By gaining inner motivation we must be always positive and learn to look up no matter what because someone up there who is watching you and willing to help you if you ask wholeheartedly. As you develop self-motivation inside you, you will learn to show your abilities, you will learn to speak out to defend yourself and you will learn to prove to other people that you may be different but you are one of the best but then life should not be about proving or showing what you have and what you can, life should be sharing for the profit and betterment of everyone and of course life must be humbled.
Your inner motivation will help you to grow stronger; to be more confident and to be able to do more things. This will develop an invisible shield of yours that anyone cannot break for the whole time of your life. As we have the shield in our lives we must use this not only for ourselves but also for we must share this with someone who hasn’t yet developed their own so that they may be shielded and they will learn how to develop it.
We are all brothers and sisters in this world because we are the spirit children of God, no matter who you are; having a thin, fat or perfect body, whether you are gay or lesbian, or you are mute, deaf and blind, and no matter where you are we belong together. We are living on one planet so we must learn to live as one home; we must learn to shield one another. By doing this we can create a very beautiful and strong shield for the world to resist Satan’s work.
Everyone! All of us… smile, look up and speak out “no to bullying and discrimination!”.
