Baptism

I know this topic is very familiar to you but I hope I can impart something that will touch your heart… Adam, the first man on earth was baptized, also Alma in the book of Mormon and Jesus needed to be baptized even He never sinned. Why? It is because baptism serves as a key to live with heavenly father in the Celestial Kingdom.  Almost all of us here undergone on the process of Baptism, during this moment of our lives we made a promised to heavenly father that we will remember and follow Jesus and keep all of his commandments. Our heavenly father loves us so much that whenever we make a promise to him, He makes a promise right back to us that He will forgive us for all our mistakes as long as we will get on our knees and repent. He also promises that we can have the gift of the Holy Ghost and that we can obtain eternal life someday. In short, this promises between us and heavenly father is called COVENANT. Today brother, you are being covenanted to God, you’re willi...

Love One Another

As a Filipino it’s a part of our tradition to love one another. We see proofs through the system of our lifestyle; we are fanned of having an extended family which shows how we love, care, and how important our relatives are and we also have that Bayanihan system, where we can feel the spirit of Camaraderie from one another. At this moment of time, I will be talking about Love specifically loving one another. So what is Love? Everyone has its own definition of this four-lettered word and we based in our experiences and through the knowledge that we have.  Some of us are telling that love is a pain, and that’s true, as latter day saints we believe that things should have oppositions so that we will be able to fulfill its essence, so thus, pain is a part of loving and living.       Look at the pictures; on here we can see how our Lord Jesus Christ suffered because of loving us. It was stated in the book of Luke 22:44 that our Lord Jesus Christ took upon...

BULLYING

What would you feel if the world sees you in a distinct way? Some of you may take it positively but how if they see you whom a person does not deserve to accompany and to be treated respectfully, what would you do? Bullying and Discrimination are now a vast and uncontrollable crime in our world's new era. History to present these are happening, wherein, in our history women are being discriminated by men through treating them just women of their lives, for pleasures and power. And also people with special disabilities are not just being bullied or discriminated but they are being condemned to die. In this new era, the lawmaking bodies proclaimed a law stating the right of every individual to avoid discrimination and bullying against one another but then the implementation of these laws is not that strong. From now, people are freely discriminating and bullying someone through their gender (especially the LGBTQ+ community), physical disabilities, and status in life, religi...

Photography

Photography is not just taking pictures for the purpose of recreation or to have something we post on our social media accounts. As PicsArt implies ”Picture is Art” an art that a photographer can create from any genre, still life, street photography, documentary, landscape, nude, portrait, using a particular style–point of view, choice of lens, type of lighting, color or black and white for deeper purposes. The world is being polluted by photographs, as we surf the internet we see a different kinds of pictures for different purposes. Some are for the advertisement of any services and products, some are just for fun- sharing pictures of what they do every day, sharing pictures showing their cool body and it is a fact that they use also photographs to kill someone’s image, bullying and to blackmail, and for porn. I believe that there is a deeper essence of having photography in our lives, I believe that Heavenly Father gave us this for the purpose of sharing the beauty of li...

Attending Sacrament with Family

September 23, I worked with the missionaries to share the Gospel with my best friend's family, the experience is so good… while the elders are teaching, my best friend's mom asked a question that really caught my feelings and attention, the question goes like exactly the title of this article.  I really see and feel the interest of this mother to attend the church with her whole family and how I wish that my parents have also this kind of mindset. While they are discussing I was just smiling and thinking deeply for an answer to that question and it came to my knowledge that I must be the one or the tool so that my family will attend the church with me. My family status is complicated I don’t even know if we are family, I said that because I define family as a group of people who are living together progressively with love, respect, humility, and spiritually. So this is indeed a big challenge for me, I am just a teenager and the third child of the family but here I am tryi...
